Many of you may remember that UK was the second country to move to .net. Part of the reason for this was because UK had always performed poorly (poor hardware being one of the causes). In launching .net so early, most of you know, it really wasn't ready and there was about a week where the chat barely ran.
Early configuration which was later changed for other countries, was, (it appears) not synced completely (also caused by poor hardware) on the UK which led to very poor performance. This coupled with deathly slow servers and database servers led to a chat experience which was, to put it bluntly, unacceptable.
In the last 24 hours, you should have noticed a marked improvement with the UK chat. UK now runs on exactly the same configuration and server types as the other 6 countries and appears to be many times more stable.
We shall continue to make investments in the chat. The software behind the communication (which causes the mute issue from time to time) is in the process of being rewritten too, and we hope to launch that later on in the year.
But as they say, baby steps and we hope you will continue to enjoy the ride on the new, faster, Noesis UK Chat.
Regards
The Noesis ChatTeam
