Dear Passengers and Crew,
We've been working hard to provide you with some improvements to the chat. We have just released a new update based on your feedback and here is an overview:
Auto Image Resizing
Before today, if you'd have tried to upload an image that was larger than your allowance (100kb for non premium & 500kb for premium users) the chat would have told you the image was too big, and left you to your own devices. Many of you said this was confusing, and difficult to shrink your images down to size. Therefore, with the new update you can upload maaaaassive and huuuuge pictures to your album and they will automatically shrink to size and go into your album. This will see an end to error messages when you upload photo's - it will just work! Horray *S*
Photo Rating/Comment Notifications
Many of you told us that you had no idea when someone had rated and commented on one of your Porthole pictures. In reality, those who are premium users and at the top rank did get notifications about this. However, we've decided to give EVERYONE notifications about when their photo's are rated or commented on. The Captain is now going to be very busy. Get uploading and get rating.... you'll know exactly when someone has rated you!
Profile Music
We found that less than 1% of users have ever used Profile Music. It has caused a bit of a burden on the server and you actually told us you found profile music more annoying an a benefit, when you got random sounds blaring out your speakers. Therefore, as of now, the feature has gone!
Shipmail Notifications
When you get a shipmail, you get an email to notify you of this (providing you have the correct email address registered, and you have the setting on). We had feedback to say you'd like to see the subject of the shipmail in your email notification. This has now been done, this way, you can know just how important that shipmail is the moment the email lands in your inbox.
Support Ticket
We have made a few modifications to support tickets to make the level of support you get even better. You can submit a support ticket to a senior navigator by pressing F1 in the chat, and clicking 'New Question'.
