Exciting Changes to the World's Biggest Chat Community!

Please take time to read this information as there are some really exciting changes coming within the next few weeks.

 

But before we tell you about the changes, the first thing we want to assure you is that you need do nothing and you need not worry about anything.  Your chat account, chat experience, contacts, and profile information will all stay the same.

 

The changes that will be made are focused on rebranding and design. You will notice fewer ads on the community pages, as well as new landing URLs to reflect each country and provide its own domain extension, as in .co.uk, .fr, .de.

 

Now, we are sure you’re asking yourself “what’s this all about?!”, the answer is simple, we are going to once again become Lycos Chat!

 

Noesis has partnered with Lycos Inc. and will be expanding as Lycos Chat all over the world. Apart from rebranding in the countries we currently serve, we will be introducing Lycos Chat in US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand as well.

FAQ

When will these changes happen?

We plan to make all the changes in three stages.

 

Stage one – Make the announcement to you all and send out emails notifying our chatters who are not online of the impending changes.

 

Stage two – This will happen approximately one week after the announcement.  We will rebrand as Lycos Chat and change the community page designs to reflect the partnership.

 

Stage three – will be to move onto the Lycos Chat URL’s.  There will be redirects from the current worldsbiggestchat domains however we do encourage you to bookmark www.chat.lycos.co.uk .

 

Does Lycos Inc. now own the Noesis Chat?

No.  Noesis still owns the chat product and will provide the chat to Lycos exclusively.  The Lycos Chat is powered by Noesis.

 

What will happen to my profile, logbook or porthole?

Nothing. Your profile and logbook content will remain untouched as it is now.  Your content will not be affected by any of these changes.

 

I’m a premium member, what will happen to my membership?

Nothing at all.  Your premium membership will continue unchanged for the duration you purchased.
