Hi all

Earlier today we attempted to release a new communication layer to the chat.  While it had been tested in our test environment and released with success to two smaller countries, it failed on the UK.

We have a full log of the errors it caused and hope to fix these issues shortly.  We will be running a number of tests through the day.

If you are online when we do it, we will do an announcement.  You should transfer to the new communication platform automatically after a few moments. You may notice the chat go silent at this time.  If you don't recover, please try and f5.  If after 5 minutes your chat has still not recovered, then please log out and back in.

We hope this new layer will fix many if not most of the problems the chat has seen over the last few years, including missing lines, names missing from room lists etc, so we ask for your patience while getting it right.

For those of you who were online just before, we are sorry we weren't clearer regarding what could have happened, we didn't expect the chat to crash entirely.  Now we know this is a possibility during the testing phase, we ask you to bear with us.
